NAME: Lyman Currier
HOME: Boulder, CO
WHAT WAS IT LIKE GROWING UP IN YOUR HOMETOWN? I grew up in Boulder CO. Growing up here and having a dad who was an Olympic skier made it really easy to go skiing every weekend.
DOES BOULDER HAVE A SKI/SNOWBOARD SCENE? Yes, I would say that Boulder is the biggest ski town that doesn’t actually have a resort.
WHAT BROUGHT YOU TO WINTER PARK? At first it was my friends; they all had condos up here and I started coming up with them. After a year of that, I convinced my parents to get a condo and let me be on the team. Now I have a place up there and I have fallen in love with the conditions and the terrain.
WITH PARKS LIKE THE RAIL YARD AND DARK TERRITORY, WHAT DO YOU THINK IS NEXT FOR THE YOUNG GUNS? I really have no idea. Being some sort of young gun myself, I am just waiting to see what is in store for me.
WHAT'S ON THE HORIZON FOR YOU IN REGARD TO YOUR SKIING? I am hoping to be a professional skier here pretty soon, so being pro and everything that comes with that.

BEFORE YOU HIT A TRICK, HOW DO YOU PREPARE YOURSELF PSYCHOLOGICALLY? I put in my ear buds, block out everything else, focus on the jump or line or rail, envision my trick, then drop.
